Medical Boarding
For Animals with Special Needs
If your pet requires medication and/or special monitoring while you are away, or if you are unable to care for your pet at home, CARE is uniquely able to monitor and care for your pet as a Medical Boarder in our state of the art facility.
You can be assured that your pet receives attentive care 24 hours a day while Medical Boarding at CARE. Acting under veterinary supervision, our highly trained nursing staff will care for your special needs pet. For example, diabetic animals, pets with epilepsy, arthritic or non-ambulatory pets, pets with chronic illness such as heart disease or kidney failure, and some post-surgical patients, all may qualify for Medical Boarding at CARE. For more severely ill patients, hospitalization services are provided.
You will be asked to fill out a Medical Boarding questionnaire prior to admission where you will give a summary of your pet's condition, medications needed, and any dietary restrictions. ALL medications and any special food should be brought to CARE upon admission.
Your pet will have a Medical Board admission exam with one of our doctors to review your pet's needs. Please call ahead to schedule your Admission Exam.
